Step 1 : Exam registration

Procedure to register for the TEF for Naturalization test

• Online registration

Registrations are made only by internet on our website. At the bottom of this page you will find the dates of the scheduled sessions

• Choose a date
• Click on « RESERVER»
• In QUANTITE, choose « 1 »
• Click on SUITE, at the bottom of the page
• The information sheet opens. Fill in your details correctly
• Click on SUITE, at the bottom of the page
• In – INFORMATIONS ACHETEUR. Fill in your details again correctly to obtain your  registration certificate that will be sent to your e-mail address (to which you must have access)
• If you need a bill, check Je souhaite recevoir une facture. No need to fill the company details.
• At the bottom of the page, check J’accepte les conditions générales de vente
• Click on SUITE
• Pay your order online by credit card 170 €
• Confirm your order
• PRINT your registration certificate

Please note: Your registration for the TEF for Naturalization test is confirmed and final.

You will not be reimbursed if you decide not to attend.
You will not be reimbursed for leaving the exam in the middle.

Step 2 : Prepare your documents for the exam

• One week before the test, you will receive an e-mailed notification indicating the times of the two exams.
• The day of the test, you must present a currently valid passport, ID card, or driver’s license along with your e-mailed notification. If there is any uncertainty, the examiner may ask you for a second form of identification.

Step 3 : Set the exam

Arrive 15 minutes before the scheduled time at the address indicated on your notification.

• Only you can enter the test room; no accompanying person will be allowed, unless assistance is required.

The TEF for Naturalization is made up of two inseparable oral exams:

• The oral comprehension exam. This exam is given in the form of a multiple-choice questionnaire with questions related to situations in everyday life.
  • 60 questions
  • Duration: 40 minutes
  • Score: 360 pts

• Oral expression exam
  • 2 topics
  • Duration: 15 minutes
  • Score: 450 pts

Step 4 : Receive your results

Allow at least 3 to 5 weeks to get the results.

A certificate in your name will be sent to the e-mail address you provided when you registered. This document must be printed in color and presented to the prefecture.
